FUNDING PROPOSALS AND APPLICATIONS
The School Committee will encourage the administration and teaching staff to seek and secure possible sources of state and other special funds that will enhance the educational opportunities for the children in our schools. The Superintendent will keep informed of possible funds available to the school district under the various state and special programs, and in what manner these funds can best be used in the school district.
The Superintendent will be responsible for seeking out and coordinating the development of proposals for all specially funded projects and for ensuring that such projects align to school and district needs and goals.
Administrators and teaching staff must consult with direct supervisors and business office staff during the preparation of grant applications and must receive approval of the Superintendent or designee prior to committing to any grant funds. Once approved, a copy of the final application must be submitted to the Business Office. Expenditures from such funds will be made through the purchasing process in place for other school accounts and will adhere to all purchasing requirements of the town and district. The Superintendent is authorized to sign all reports for these projects and will be responsible for the proper expenditure of funds received for such projects.
